Finding your Inner Child

A big part of healing and living a full life is the ability to detach from the chaos of the adult world and tapping into your childlike mind. Exploring within, Bonding with our inner child not only brings back long lost qualities, but sets us free from the past as well.
Not taking life so seriously
Forgiving and forgetting
Falling and getting back up, starting again and again and again
letting go, feeling careless and stressfree
This is not only good for the body but completely frees the imagination, opening us to new and exciting ideas for successful living. If you will recall the things you did as a kid, you may be surprised to find that yoga poses, or asanas, were very much a part of your day-to-day playtime. Headstands, cartwheels, back bends, shoulder stands, the splits. Yoga can be a very serious practice, but it can also allow some playtime; time to let loose the body and mind and be like a kid again.
To be more childlike, you don't have to give up being an adult. The fully integrated person is capable of being both an adult and a child simultaneously. Recapture the childlike feelings of wide-eyed excitement, spontaneous appreciation, cutting loose, and being full of awe and wonder at this magnificent universe. -Wayne Dyer
